    I have a WMV video i've tried to convert to something Quicktime will play. Using various settings (including the above) i always get the following output even if i tell ffmpegX not to encode audio:

    Encoding started on Thu Mar 31 21:36:31 MST 2005
    Seems that stream 1 comes from film source: 1000.00 (1000/1) -> 30.00 (30/1)
    Input #0, asf, from '/Users/chrome/Desktop/VIDWORK/Flick.wmv':
    Duration: 00:37:01.9, start: 5.000000, bitrate: 1128 kb/s
    Stream #0.0: Audio: wmav2, 44100 Hz, stereo, 128 kb/s
    Stream #0.1: Video: wmv2, 320x240, 1000.00 fps
    Codec type mismatch for mapping #0.0 -> #0.0

    Try 'Invert mapping' checkbox in the Audio tab.

    Now encoding, but if 'Preview' is correct, video is garbage.

    Source reads: wmv2, 320x240, 1000.00 fps.

    Are any of the options incompatible with going from WMV --> MOV mpeg4?

  4. WMV decoding is still limited. You may eventually try with "DivX mencoder" preset.
