Hello. I have 3 hour long movies in the DivX format. I would like to be able to put all 3 of these movies on to one DVD. I have Adobe Premiere and EncoreDVD. I have also tried several other programs. Per Adobe, Premiere does not work with the DivX format. I would like to have a chapter at the begining of each movie. I can successfully create a seperate DVD for each movie with DivxtoDVD. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!!!

  2. Try DIKO (Free) or SVCD2DVD. Both programs give good results.

If your goal is only to put all 3 movies onto 1 DVD and having chapters, then you could just use only DivXtoDVD with batch encoding all 3 movies at once.
So, the output would be 1 DVD with 3 VOBs, meaning 3 of your movies with chapters.

Thanks. I am giving that a shot as I type. I was unaware that I could do all of them at the same time.

I want to apologize for posting this same question in another forum.

It has been some time since I have been to this site. I want to thank those who answer the questions. This is one of the most helpful and informative web forums I have ever visited. THANKS!!!

Well, that kind of worked except for the resulting files are 5.4gigs. I wish that I could uncompress the movies, join them together, and manage the data rates myself to get the finished size down, that would be great. I guess my biggest question is, how can I decompress these files in to an (un)compressed avi file?

    Thanks.

    Thanks.
Author to .vob, ifo, bup etc (if you havn't already), then use DVDshrink to brink them down to a single DVDr size.

Best way would be to add the time of all 3 together, use this time in the bitrate calculator to get (average, if VBR encoding,) bitrate to use when encoding to DVD mpg, encode each AVI separately using a dedicated encoder (see this guide for one of many examples of how it's done) (TMPGEnc, MainConcept, QuEnc...) at this (average) bitrate, author as a 3 title DVD with "any" authoring app like TMPGEnc DVD Author, DVDAuthorGUI & cetera.

If you are happy with resulting picture quality, just use DVDShrink, as Bugster suggests, to fit onto one DVDR and burn.

If you are skilfull enough and have proper software, follow mats.hogberg instructions for optimal results.
