This website and this forum is the reason I'm making DVDs today. Seriously. I started with an old video capture card, and no resources other than searching the web for "Intel Video Capture Card." Somehow or other, I ended up here. There was a whole stack of articles on making VCDs (this was a few years ago, when DVD recorders were still $$$$$$$$$$) and video capture and suddenly !!!

My thanks to you all, I literally could not have done it without you.

I agree. I have found a great deal of very helpful information on this site. It a good idea to use the "middle 80" rule that I find works well on forums. That is; throw out the top and bottom ten percent of the comments and consider the middle eighty percent. The bottom ten percent are comments that are brainless and useless. The top ten percent are made by social mutants and other mental types who like to hide behind the relative anonymity of a forum and use it for their own demented games.
