Hello,
I have got an avi-file captured with an ATI Radeon VIVO, iuVCR and Morgan MJPEG codec. Picture quality is alright, after having watched a test on TV-screen, I decided to deinterlace. Now, when I feed the file into Avisynth (use AVSedit for preview etc.), using "AviSource", the colors come out reversed. Blue parts are red, red/yellow parts are blue etc. The same with preview in MPC.
Does anybody know, why that happens? If I put "DirectShowSource" instead, it's alright, everything fine. I just wonder, what the reason may be. Do I omit anything? Is it a reason to worry, or ok just to ignore it?
I've captured mpeg2 as well as avi with this setup, but the first time with Morgan MJPEG, before that I used PICvideo (for the avi's of course).
Thanks for any suggestions.![]()

Bad decoder. Try adding swapUV() to your script, use a different decoder or set a different colourspace in avisource().

Thanks for quick answer.
The "swapUV()" does it. But how do I determine the standard decoder being used? This only happens since I installed Morgan MJPEG yesterday (that the reason perhaps?),
so where do I change the settings for the default decoder?
(Sorry, if this sounds ridiculous...)

Have short news:
Since I installed Morgan MJPEG, it seems to have overwrittten the PicVideo, so I uninstalled it, installed PicVideo once again. Color problem was solved AND the next capture also was FAR exceeding in quality!
(ATI Radeon VIVO 64 MB, Composite input from SCART of my VCR, 256 RAM, 1.8 GHz, 80 GB HDD, Virtual VCR, PicVideo=Quality 18 ) 15 GB.avi-file, but practically lossless; on TV-screen it looks better than the original video, without any filtering!
So long!
