  1. I try to encode avi (divx 3, 23.976 fps, without audio) to dvd (ntsc, 720x480).
After analyze procces (50%), I got a error message "System error: 6. The handle is invalid"

    Has anyone a idea what's wrong ?

  2. That's an XP system error that can be caused by numerous things. It may take some work to figure out what the problem is, and I suggest going to a more tech oriented board.

Try using a newer codec - XviD for example.

  4. What encoding s/w are you using. By any chance or by mistake are you running multiple instances of your encoding s/w. If yes, run only one.

Bring up the task manager. Go to Performance. Check the handle count. Is it increasing even though you are not doing much or not opening may application on your PC.

Sorry about the question, but what is s/w.
I did not run multiple encoded.
So, this error is operating system error not application error

Did you check up in the task manager as I had suggested earlier.

  7. I use TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 to encode. This is the first time (after many encoding) i get this error message.
I checked the task manager. The handles count is 7825 after restart with 0% of CPU. it is too mach ?

  8. No handle count is OK. Increase the DirectShow filter priority in TMPGEnc so that it reaches the top of the list. Then try to encode.
