  1. I read somewhere that in order to make working copies of your own DVD's and at the same time, to avoid legal ramification connected with bypassing protection existing in commercial DVD's, a smart way to do your working copies AND being within the law was to launch a software that capture/copy the MPEG stream (that is "exiting" the video card and going to monitor (or that is "exiting" the MOBO?!?!?)) on the fly and record such a MPEG stream onto HD (I remember that the requirement for such a procedure was to have a processor whose clock is at least 3 GHz).
Procedure that can be done either if you are playing a DVD or if you are watching a video stream (from a videocamera or from Internet).
I also read at the time the name of such a software, but I cannot remember its name.
Possibly it was also a freeware or something.
Has any of youy ever heard of such a software?
    Thanks
