I have a leadtek a250 ti4600 video card with a dvi output. I would like to find a cable that goes from my dvi card to my tv that has component. This is what i found and wondering if this adapter will word with my card.

also what would the max distance on the component cable before signal degregation.

I have one from ATI that I use with a ATI chipset Radeon 9550. You can check around but AFAIK, they only work with ATI products. Radeon and All in Wonder. http://www.svideo.com/hdtvaiwr8500.html
EDIT: I have 3 foot component cables that go into a switch box, then 25 feet to my projector. I wouldn't run them much further, though.
