Can I just rip the DVD using decrypter and provided it's small enough put it back on a DVD-R 4.7Gig instead of using a transcoder? or do I need to use some form of a transcoder?

    Thanks,

if its a layer 1 dvd then you can just ISO read then write with dvddecrypter

    no need for a transcoder

You're spot on deadskullz, and another vote for DVDDecrypter ISO Read / ISO Write mode here as the easiest/fastest way to do this.

    If in doubt, Google it.

its not if its a layer one

if its layer 2 then a transcoder is needed to make it fit to a dvd5 (layer 1 )
