I am still currently using the same version of Dvd2one that I started with about 1yr ago (Version 1.4.0) Now there is Version 1.5.2 out. My question is, are there any differences in the quality of the video output from the newer version (Change in compression Ratio)? Or does it just have a few added features bug fixes?

From what I hear, the new features allow you more control over the output quality... but none of the new options provides for MORE quality per se than you got in 1.4.0

However, the REAL question is - is the program still hopelessly obtuse and are the authors still arrogant puswads? And the answer to that is YES.

  3. The one thing I have to say is I wish they would give you more options with what you would like to take out and keep just like dvdshrink. Ive lived by the program since it first came out and thats the only bad thing about dvd2one.
Life is like a pothole, you just have to learn to get around it.

    That's not nice.

Neither are the DVD2One authors. Go make a suggestion or comment in their forums. You'll see what I mean.

The truth often is not nice. DVD2one does what it's advertised to do, but its interface is archaic and not very friendly (really, it's not very hard to remember the last location the window was at on the desktop!), and Erwin and Rene leave much to be desired when it comes to dealing with people. I bought the app, but I did so for its capabilities; if I were to ever have any questions about it, you can be damn sure I'll come here before I ever say one word in the official DVD2one forum.
