  1. Now, before you shout, I've tried posting this in an MP3 forum and no replies. So, I thought I'd give the VCD guys a whirl. I'm trying to burn a compilation of MP3's which are 80m.43s long. Now, the problem is that Nero 5.5 together with a Teac 524 won't recognise one of the fancy new 90 min CDR's. I'm having the same probs with VCD's too - they just won't recognise the media as being large enough. I know I can do an image and overburn an 80m CD, but I want to retain the 2 sec gap between the tracks.

    Any help appreciated

be sure (www.ahead.de) is your cdr able to overburn cds. if yes, find this key in your registry:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ahead\Nero - Burning ROM\General\OverSizeDefaultValue

    change the value to 1.

now should everything be perfectly ok.

  3. Thanks PORNOST4R - do I just add a 1 at the end of the string - i.e OverSizeDefaultValue1?

  4. Given that last question, I strongly recommend you back up your registry before doing anything, since it appears you have not worked with the registry before.

To answer your question, the OverSizeDefaultValue will be the registy key and will have an associated value. The existing value is probably 0, when you double click on the key, it will bring up a little dialog allowing you to edit it. You should not change the key's name!

  5. Thanks Kinneera - I guess I could also use Go Back to restore the registry if the change makes a nasty mess?
