  1. please any advise would be much appreciated. What it takes/programs needed
    simple way to changa a video capture ati to dvd format which can be burned to be played on dvd players

    If you are using a ATI card, you should check out lordsmurfs site for good information: digitalfaq.com

    Your video has to be DVD compliant; See 'What is DVD' to the left for the DVD specification. <<<

    Once the video is compliant, then you need to author it. I use TMPGEnc DVD Author, but other programs will work. Then you burn it to DVD.

    Look in the "How To" section under "convert". Then look for a program/guide that will convert your original file format to mpeg2. You will need to convert them to dvd spec as redwudz stated above.

    Or you may be able to just use an authoring program to convert the originals (depends on the format).
