I just got the XP Install disc to a Dell 4600 that has XP Home SP1a on it. I was going to slipstream SP2 into it but it gives me an error that I can integrate SP2 with a disc that already has integrated components. I'm assuming that Dell must have slipstreamed SP1 or at least the SP1a updates into their orginal install discs. Regardless, it looks like I can't slipstream SP2 into it now. Anyone know of a way to do it anyway regardless of the already integrated components?

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out. I hate the thought of installing .net framework (don't know why but I had problems with it in the past and distrust it now)

Still no go I'm afraid. Same error message as before.

Got it to work. Nice little program once I found the stripped down .net files for it. I had to delete a file from the original disc since it was a Dell OEM and now it integrates just fine.

YOu can't slipstream SP2 into SP1 IIRC. You have to go back to base XP and slipstream SP2 into it.

Sorry but thats completely inaccurate. You can Slipstream SP2 into a SP1 CD just fine. I've already done it with my original SP1 disc and done a fresh install with no problems.

Ok well I know I couldn't do it with my slipstreamed Sp1 cd. I had to go back to the source files otherwise It just spit out errors.

My original worked fine, also a Dell OEM, but this disc gave me issues until I removed that file. I guess it depends how the disc is set up.

SVCPACK.INF is the file I had to delete.
