  1. Simple question:

I have a VCR right now. On the back, it has two sets of the Red/Yellow/White a/v plugs, what looks to be coax in and coax out. I also have a TV tuner, and it has S-Video in, Composite video, and an line in for audio. How do I connect these two together, what cables do I need? I'm hoping to transfer VHS tapes to my computer.

Yellow is video. Use a RCA cable to go from the video out on the VCR to your capture card video in for composite video. The sound out is Red and White from the VCR. Get a stereo female RCA to male 1/8" stereo phone plug adapter (Common in Radio Shack or many stereo or other stores.) to plug into your line in on your audio card. You use 3 RCA cables total and plug everything together. You will probably have to go into your audio settings and make sure line in level is set to maximum.
