    When you have your XviD movie with an .SRT file, you can move the subtitles down below the picture (if it's a WS one). Can't you do that with DVD subtitles as well? I don't like to watch my 2.35:1 movies with my 4:3 monitor when the subs are placed to fit for an 16:9 TV.

    I hope you know what I mean. Is there any DVD player software that can move the subs?

    are you converting the xvid to dvd?
    are you playing xvids on your dvd player? what dvd player?

    no software dvd player can move dvd subtitles(that I know of)...but if you have srt subs you can move them if you use vobsub or vsfilter.

    No I'm talking about DVD movies here, not XviDs. It's weird that no player can move them, would be a great feature.
