Does any body know how to join avi files in one avi file with the same source quality....
I've tried Cyberlink PowerDirector but it reduced the quality quite a lot although I chose the best settings and got a very big sized dvd file...
so please tell me what I have to do?????and what program do you advise me to use?????
    THANKS A LOT....

in addition (((windows xp wouldn't let me proceed because I have FAT32 partition and it's not allowed for a file to exceed the 4gigabytes
that what win xp told me)))

Select under Video->Direct Stream Copy in Virtualdub or Virtualdubmod or Virtualdub-mpeg2 and you wont get a 7 gigabyte file. Virtualdub will just COPY the file then...if you use something else it will reconvert to an uncompressed video file.

It's not a good idea to use FAT under XP anyway..
Yes, "Direct Stream Copy" should help...

I'm sorry but can I do the same on VOB files...and If not what do you advise me to do to put a custom mark on vob files like what I've tried to do In VirtualdubMOD but I couldn't do ((( putting the mark on AVI files
then converting them into DVD with WinAVI Converter...(quality is very important)
    THANKS THANKS THANKS

Iv used Easy Video Joiner It mite be shareware but it does no encoding whatsoever and so the quality remains high. (assuming you have the video in good quality)

Reason i like it is because it does what it says it does no encoding whatsoever.

  8. If you are making a DVD then DONT join your AVI files. Encode each separately by putting your custom mark. Then use your authoring s/w to create your DVD.

FAT32 will not allow to have files bigger than 4GB. Convert to NTFS if you can WITHOUT loosing data.
