  1. Hey
I already have an .avi file and made a .srt file using Subrip.

I would like to force certain parts of the subtitles, but i'm not sure how i should go about doing it. Any help would be appreciated.

If the original DVD has forced subs for that, then you need to enable forced subs only in subrip and process the right stream (the one containing forced subs). At the end you will end up with an srt of only the forced subs.

No, it will rip only the forced subs so that the srt contains only them. You can however have a second sub stream containing all the subs. As far as I am aware srt doesn't allow for forced subs.
