I flashed my ND 2100 AD to 2510A using an firmware file from a site, and I was able to burn DVD-RWs fine for a while, but I cancelled a burning process on Nero today, and ever since then the drive is not reading anything at all!
Is there anything I can do?
Thanks,

You can reflash and see if that helps to the same firmware you used, or flash back to your original or another version. Your drive shouldn't be dead. When you flash you should not be running any other software...even in the background. Especially disable your virus checker.

I've got a 2500/2510, mine started out its life as a 2100 as well. I'm now using the latest/greatest :P modded FW for the 2500, 2510 works as well.
You might want to just unistall the drive, or that ide channel, in your device manager and reboot. Windows will automatically reinstall them after a reboot. If that doesn't work, I would just reflash the drive and see if that resolves your problem. DOS is the safest way to go and is sometimes necessary if a flashing goes bad in particular, but Windows flashing has always worked fine for me.
Here's a link to the FW I've been using most of the time, it's worked better than many of the later versions I've tried with the media I tested.

Herrie's 1.07v2b5 , the link is not on his site anymore for some reason, but it can be downloaded from that link. Good Luck -
I can't exactly flash it again because the firmware is for ND 2100AD and mine is now 2510A !
Isn't there something that will let me flash back? -
If you want to try flashing it again, reflash the same or another 2500/2510 FW. I'm not trying to suggest that you should go back to a 2100.

You can flash it back to a 2100 also, just use the DOS flasher found here http://tdb.rpc1.org/
Once it is back to a 2100 you can start over. -

Currently supplied as binaries suitable for flashing in DOS. The packages include original stock firmware, RPC1 with Rip Lock, and Rip Lock only. 103D, 104E, and 1.26.
Just follow the link in my first post, download the FW off that page, and flash your drive in Windows. Have fun. -

Or, download the FW I suggested originally, download a FW with the Windows flasher off of TDB website, and load the .BIN file from the DOS version you downloaded into the Windows flasher, NECWinFlash. -
Try this firmware:
http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_file.php?site=tdb1&file=2500_131.ZIP
(http://tdb.rpc1.org/#ND2500A)
and flash with this utility:

Finally you could try latest Herrie's frimware. Read more about it in here: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=122096
