I was wondering if anyone is working on or plans on trying to do some sort of hack that would take a Lite on 5007 (or any Lite on type of mahine) and record on the -R format like the 5005 can? Tons of money is spent for those who have -R unit and a +R unit. Instead of spending say $40 (on sale) and getting 100 -R disks we are now forced to spend the same $40 and only get 50 disks because we have to spend the rest of the money on 50 +R disks. Is it because the 5005 has a burner that allows both formats and the other Lite ons only have a burner that allows one format to record; or can the 5005s abiltiy to record to both formats be copied to older Lite ons (and their off shoots) with just a hacked version?
