Never heard of this problem with iuVCR and I use it as do many other people here.

Perhaps it would be best to fill out your computer specs and give more details as to the codecs you are using to capture with etc.

Also fill in your country area so we know if you are talking about NTSC or PAL (or please specify in your post/thread which format this capture is in).

  3. My PC's spec is :

    1024MB RAM
    Pentium 4 2.0Ghz
    Windows XP with SP 2
In total 140GB hard drive space
    NVidia GeForce FX 5700LE
    PCTV RAVE Capture Card

I'm using the [VFW] PicVideo MJPEG Codec and the [VFW] Huffyuv v2.1.1 codec but the same happens with both.

    Also, I'm in Scotland

Hope this is enough info, thanks in advance

  4. most of the time that only happens when you dont have the latest capture card driver and or you have antivirus and stuff running in the background..

you should try some mpeg capture software and you will see how subpar the picvideo codec really is..even with a quality setting of 20 it leaves a lot to be desired i want pro-quality captures picvideo cant do that.

atleast try winfast PVR for ok results or main concept PVR for excellent results..

    using main concept pvr

with a quality setting of FIVE and a variable bitrate and your good go for some excellent captures far superior to anything IUVCR can spitout you should try virtual vcr if you want just avi's it has better pic quality than iuvcr thats for sure..

and huffyuv is waayyyyy better than picvideo for avi captures..

  5. If you use anything on the computer that requires sound while capturing, it can cut out of the cap, in order to play the sound you want in whatever program.
Turn off all windows sounds, don't use any audio apps.

Thanks kenmasters83 for your polite assessment of picvideo mjpeg codec, and iuvcr, which has nothing at all to do with the OP's audio problem.
