That patch method is nothing but VooDoo
You can either buy a player that will convert PAL to NTSC for very cheap or if you want to spend a little time (depends on the speed of your pc) converting it check here

  5. Yes I want to spend as much as time converting this PAL DVD to NTSC (main movie, special features etc) and if that worked then I am willing to post that guide here so any one who lives in North America no need to suffer but simply can follow my guide!

    Hi,
The guide i posted is very easy if you just use the programs listed in order

I've already done a few that way and they came out great!!!!!! and really did'nt take much time, the most amount of time was a 1 hour & 20 minute video i did and it took about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to encode just the video with TMPGEnc Plus. I could list it all here but it already is on the thread i supplied.
It is a little more advanced but relatively straight forward.

The one i listed is newer with new methods so you don't have to change the audio to match the conversion of the video by leaving the video at the original 25fps of PAL but changing the resolution and then using DGPulldown, it's all there, and then you can remultiplex the audio & video back together in an authoring program and the audio will match the video because the video is actually still 25fps, the one you are looking at you have to mess with the audio also.

Like i said, i have tried this new way a few times now and it's easier, faster and looks as good as any way i have tried, and i have tried almost all off them

If you really want to make it easy dvdSanta , DIKO & maybe other's, are said to convert PAL video to NTSC video but most one button solutions never seemed to work real well for me or resulted in quality i liked, i like more control to be able to tweak 8)

  10. I seperate the Movie file using DVD Lab and now I have a ac3 file and mpv file. the " movie.mpv" file which is PAL I want to Resize the video to NTSC 720x480. How can I do this? Because I am going to use DGPulldown to convert 25fps to 29fps

well i don't use & am not sure if you can open the mpv in TMPGEnc.
    try and let me know

And read over the original thread i posted that FulciLives started and this one
    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=263172

i talked a little about it but the way i do it, leaves out avisynth as i like to have a little more control and tweak setting in TMPGEnc when re-encoding the video and is a little more advanced as you really need to know what all the little settings are for

After ripping the .VOB's to my hard drive you can use TMPGEnc to get just the audio track from the vob, when i rip i set my ripper to one large file, then use dgmpgdec to get a .dv2 file to open in TMPGEnc and re-encode just the video.

but you can rip the usual way and have multiple vob's and get both the audio and d2v files, then just re-encode the video using the d2v file with TMPGEnc, making sure to keep the frame rate at 25fps but making the resolution 720X480 and the output as NTSC. if you are notn sure what all the settings do or are for in TMPGEnc.

You might want to really read over the original way, the link i posted to.

I think i might have to sit down and write a guide on how i did it
whats one more among the 1000's

Thanks for that, I download the DVDstanta trial and in few hours I have a NTSC DVD. It converted the main movie and the quality was very identical to the original PAL DVD. I am very impressed and my entire problem solved. I was looking for a program like that in GOOGLE and couldn't find it until u mention it. Thanks AGAIN.
