    Not sure if this is really the right forum... sorry if it isn't.

    I've been backing up several concerts on DVD to Xvid, following this guide.

    Worked fine at first, but for some reason now VFAPI isn't recognising the D2V files I've created. There's no option to open them:



    It's the same with TMPGEnc, so I'm assuming its a problem with DVD2AVI rather than VFAPI.

    change to dgindex instead of dvd2avi
    redownload vfapi and run the included vipfset.bat

    Forget about VFAPI for DVD to XviD it means YV12-->RGB24-->YV12.

    Learn to use AVISynth.

    DGIndex is native YV12 so no colorspace change, and it accomidates AviSynth nicely.
