  1. i have a video file thats in a svcd format, when i click on that file it turns into a cd1 and cd2 file with a .r behind the small files. how can i convert this svcd file into a mpeg file or such, so i can put this onto a dvd disc. what program(s) should i use to convert this file..

    That sounds like an SVCD image file to create 2 SVCDs. The .r I'm not sure about, could be a RAR file, similar to zip. Take a look at 'What is SVCD' to the left to familiarize yourself with SVCD structure. <<<<

    If all you have are image files ( ISO), then you will need to extract them to use them. Isobuster is one method. If they are RAR, then WinRAR will do that.

    To convert to DVD, try SVCD2DVD. There are other methods. Take a look again to the left in the 'Guides'. SVCD to DVD conversions. <<<<
