  1. In Virtual VCR, there are two places where I can set the video capture settings. Go to Settings -> Video tab, and it allows entering the Frame Size, Color Format and Frame Rate. Now go to Settings -> Devices tab, select "Video Capture Pin" from the "Device Settings" drop-down box, and click "Prop". There you can set the same settings: Output Size, Color Space and Frame Rate. What is the difference b/t these two sets of settings? How are they used?

For example, on the Video tab, I might select:

    Frame Size: 352 x 480
    Frame Rate: 30.000 fps
    Color Format: UYVY

But on the Device properties, I select:

    Output Size: 640 x 480
    Frame Rate: 29.970 fps
    Color Space: UYVY

What would my results look like (assuming the app/computer doesnt crash)?

You will get 496x480 at 29.985fps In YV12 format! :P

I believe the Custom settings override the Capture Pin settings. I don't touch them, sometimes I'd get a black screen & stuff, like it was clashing with the capture drivers or something? Maybe one of the programmers here can explain it.
