  1. No problem...actually talking with someone in adobe forums about that 2nd issue as well.
That one can be found at

Not sure if that link will work...but if I get anywhere with it, I'l post an update to my own thread in the audio forum.

  2. UPDATE:
Ok, I figured it out. You must download and install the ac3acm decompressor. It's actually a small file and barely anything to install (right click the inf and hit install...that's it). Now premier imports the avi files fine...EXCEPT, on this machine for some reason the audio sounds like chipmunks. It even imports the audio as 5.1 audio which is awesome...if only it was at normal speed. I'm gonna mess with it more to try and figure that out, but at least now premier imports the vdub avi's including audio. I really hope I can figure this out, then the poblem would be completely solved....vdubmod to avi and get to edit it with it's 5.1 chanel audio....oh what a dream!

  4. Well Rudyard,
Hope that helped with what you are trying to do, but as for me...I still need to figure out how to get that 5.1 audio into premier. I still can't figure it out, but I can say for sure that EncoreDVD handles the .ac3 files just fine, so I can export just the video from premier and drop the 5.1 audio file into encoreDvd's timeline. Of course that's just a workaround for now and definately not a final solution. Wish the audio in premier wouldn't sound like chipmunks from the avi's with 5.1 audio in them from vdbumod. oh well...keep trying I guess.

My probs are not over yet! In Encore is the video smooth for you? I exported a small piece of mine and in Encore when I play it, it flickers like im watching a 20hz TV. I hope when I burn it does not burn that way.

If only things would work like they are meant to!

  6. You are speaking of the video that you exported from vdubmod as an avi, worked on in premier, then exported as dvd-compliant mpeg2 to author in Encore correct? If this is what you are speaking of, I can check tonight about how it looks in Encore. Jittery video could be the result of many things, but for me it's usually field order. What you can do is 'make dvd folder' from encore and play that folder with powerdvd, or windvd, or some software dvd player. That will tell how the outcome should look on the computer, but for what it will look like on TV, I have to burn to a dvd-r and see.(which sucks). If your lucky your dvd player reads dvd-/+RW and then you don't have to make coasters. I have actually considered buying a dvd player that will read rw's just for this purpose...because what you see on a computer monitor is rarely what you see on a TV screen.
