I want to create a slideshow using Premiere Pro. I have an audio track and have added photo clips using Premiere Pro's automate to timeline feature. I would like to select the entire group of photos on the timeline and stretch or compress them to match the length of the audio such that each clip in the group gets stretched or compressed proportionately. When I attempt to do this, only the duration for one clip in the group gets changed. Is there a way to stretch or compress all of the clips as a group without having to do each one individually? Thanks for your help.

Hi kde,
If you don't have any luck here, you might well find the answer in the forums over at www.wrigleyvideo.com/videotutorial - the site is excellent for all things video and Adobe. There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

Find out the length of the audio clip..
Divide the audio duration, by the number of clips..Let's say that each still ends up being three seconds..
Go to the Edit>Preferences>Still Images, and plug in the value..Of course, since the value is in frames, it would be 90 frames (3 seconds times 30 fps)..
I'd personally leave the last picture stand on it's own, beyond the audio.
Also, if it's not quite correct, simply stretch or shorten the audio by a few seconds. Nobody will know any difference.
Good luck!! -
