    Hi.

I have an MP2 file (from a DVB-S recording) with changing private flags inside the header of the same file. Since my DVD authoring software doesn't like this, I need to set every private flag to 0 or 1 (doesn't matter).

    1. Is there any tool which permits to change the private flag through the complete file and recalculate the CRC?

    2. Is there a tool which allows to analyse the MP2 file and view the flags used?

    Many thanks.

    pvstrumento "corrects" audio flags

I always - re-encode the audio for "just in case"

    Thanks for the answer.

    Yes, without re-encoding

Quality loss? Most DVB channels are already crap! Some times, even filtering is needed...
If you manage to detect an audio quality loss of 192kb/s mp2 > wav > 192kb/s convertion, then you sure have a hi-end audio system (amplifier / speakers)

Could you please tell me in detail how you instruct PVAStrumento to correct the audio stream. I only found "'Beautify' MPEG1 L2 audio". But this function didn't to the job.

    Thanks.

It seems that it doesn't do the trick for you then. You need another software
    I'm not aware of any

The "Beautify ..." function apparently only touches the Copyright flag.
