  1. I'm looking at Sony Recorders at the moment. I was going to get a RDRHX900 but am now unsure...

I've just seen the new RDRGX210 and might go with that instead! Is there a difference in pic quality between the RDRGX210, RDRGX700, RDRHX900 and so on? or is it just other features and the HDD that changes the price?

Thanks for any feedback. I know the new 910 is out soon too... and yep I'm a sony guy so dont want another brand!

    Cheers

First, stop threadjacking and start your own post. Second, stop using all CAPS...it is the equivalent of yelling and it is annoying. Third, most Sony players are not hackable. The few that are typically require special hardware.

Sony used to be fairly easy to make usable, but in the last few years they have become pretty much locked down into Copy Rights Against Pirates (CRAP) syndrome. They are incredibly hard to make region free, and also hard to be made multi system.
So if you're happy to only watch whatever Sony decides you're allowed to view, never to import a movie only available in Asia and expect to see it on your TV, and never expect to watch a PAL disk on your NTSC system (or vice versa), then Sony is your boy!
Oh, and if you ever visit Japan, and buy a Sony DVD of a Sony movie in NTSC format and it don't play on your Sony NTSC DVD player then by all means complain to Sony and ask for your money back - they like a good laff.
