  3. If the source needs major filtering, then I agree.
    If the source is good quality to begin with, then you don't really need it.

  4. Avisynth is a script based program. You need to create an AVS file with all your settings and the files they are to be applied to inside. You then open said AVS file with a program such as Vdub and voila, your video is transformed.

  5. er..0o cool. i figured out avisynth heh heh its all good. but now..theres no sound...i dont know why! it was all going smoothly until i burnt it and no sound..and just now iv encoded the file again , and i played it , no sound came out.. whats the problem?

  6. Do audio separately.
    Rip it from the avi in virtualdubmod.
    Transcode in ffmpeggui, or with tmpgenc's ac3 plugin.
    Load it up with the new video into your authoring app.

  7. ic cool , hm..but im wondering how comes no sound came out? cos from my past messed up encoding the sound worked ? but the difference was i put the average bitrate lower..hm..

  8. anoter question...i encoded 3 video files , it came up to 4.19gb . ok thats fine. i authored it. came up to 4367. which was pretty high. i outputted it and the file came up to 4.6 - 4.7gb. im like...what the hell. how did this happen? (yea i used the Video Bitrate Calculator)

  9. How complex are your menus? Any motion menus?
    Not to worry, you can just run the whole thing through DVDShrink to make it fit.
    Next time, leave more room for authoring
