OK. I've been re-encoding vids and such for a couple years now so i know a little bit, and can usually fix my own problems. However, i have a new issue i can't figure out.
I have occationally downloaded and burned,or did a re-encode with WinAVI and gotten this problem. I put the DVD in my player. It starts to play but it looks like the tracking is off really bad on a VCR. I press stop and the DVD player is doing the same thing on it's main screen. I have to turn it off, then back on to get rid of it. Now these vids work in somebody elses DVD player that i know but it messes mine up. If anyone knows what this could be, it would be a huge help.

Figured it out. My DVD player wont play PAL. I did a few tests it all leads to that. I guess i'll just have to go back to using Tmpgenc and virtualdub to encode my AVI downloads instead of WinAVI. I blame me for assuming that movies are NTSC when the uploaders are not marking thier stuff proper. Anyways i took your comment into suggestion but it all led to PAL/NTSC. Thx anyway for your help. : )
