    I read the macfaq thread....and I think it is time to update the super mega ultra old FAQ. If we all could help to gather the most common questions it would go a bit faster...like:

    How do I convert PAL to NTSC?
    How do I edit a DVD?

    and maybe also supply a short answer or/and a link to topic, guide or a site.

    One question I got asked constantly was "Don't commercial DVDs last longer than recordables?"

    The answer is "No, not necessarily". But it's easier linking to the site that provides empirical data to back this up than it is to explain:

    Do commercial DVDs last longer than recorded ones?

    Not necessarily. Commercial DVDs, or "pressed" DVDs, have a vulnerability to oxidixation in their reflective layer.

    The US government has studied this as well as recordables and concludes that recordables will likely last 100 to 200 years. Here's the website for more details:

    How do I take a snapshot from a dvd?

    Use the "camera" icon in powerdvd or similar icon in your software - or use the print screen button in windows
