Could you please elaborate on these? Are you using a different mpg encoder?

The encoding tweaks on this release are primarily on the back of your observations... Any thoughts?

  9. Any tweaks done (or planned) for audio? I'm still having that audio problem. Even though it seems to only happen with one particular player, the fact that it worked ok on that player with 1.5 indicates that it *is* possible... What changed in either the audio or multiplexing routines between 1.5 and 2.0?

  14. AVI is much improved chrissy, still some slight artifacts occasionally, but only really noticable if you are sitting up close and looking for them. Excellent Job!

  15. Hi Chris just did a mpeg2 movie and a avi movie on 1 disk used the auto size

thinkin it would fit on 1 dvd

i was wrong turned out to be 4.54 gig too big for a dvd
might be a problem with the bright rate

  16. re did 2 more mpeg 1 movies same thing final size 4.52 gig

both movie had audio and menus inc no auto size
    used with not bein avi
does the size thing work before or after you insert menus ie jpegs and mp3

  18. both same format

    i fixed it
had to redo with out adding the audio to the menu screen now just fits ok

might be a good idea to make it so you can only encode up to say 4.3 and not right up to 4.5 so audio can be added to menus
or a button to workout full size inc audio and menu before resizeing

    cheers brit great program

  23. RC7 works for me just like RC6, although the menues don't work properly on one of my cheap DVD players that also gives a slight letterbox effect (apex). I think the apex is going to be put on a back shelf, since it has other problems too. DVD player compatabillity is a new issue for me with these newly created disks. I also read others posting similar issues with certain players.

    Thanks Crissyboy,

Yes, with the quick dvd option there isn't a menu created. It's designed that way.

It shows your dvd recorders posible speeds in the dropdown. This may change when you have your media in your drive.

  27. ok i'll check it with media in drive .

with some media ive had max burn at 16x which was to fast for my liking even though my burner is 16 x but the media was only 8 x i dont like to burn at max speed 4 x works just for me and some times if i feel dangerous i'l burn at 8x depending on the quality of the media .

    thanks predator now i know
