Thread: TMGenc DVD Author - No audio file.

TMGenc DVD Author - No audio file.

I haven't had this problem until just recently when I am creating a DVD from exisitng DVD file; when I go to set it up in the Clip Selection portion the audio selection states that there is no audio file....when there clearly is because I played the DVD and the sound was there. Well, I tried anyway to create a DVD just with the video portion filled in thinking that this must be a mistake but sure enough, when the DVD burned there was no sound.
Like I said, I thought I knew how to use this software correctly so have no idea what has happened.
I should mention the DVD file has been put through DVD shrink first, which created the Video TS/Audio TS folders I then used to try and burn from.

I went ahead and burned a copy of the movie not using TMGenc DVD authoring, since it wouldn't see the audio but then I figured if I put the newly recorded DVD, which plays fine in my DVD player, in my drive I could then use TMGenc DVD Author to author it. However, when I open it (the video TS) folder it still says no audio detected on the clip info page.
Why doesn't it see the audio files or am I loading this wrong?
I open DVD author, use Add DVD file, and proceed. Usually works fine. Any light to shed here?

It did that to me when I had v1.59 , when I upgraded to v1.6 it went away , you could try reinstalling it (and the ac3 plugin) . Going through a demultplexing every time is a pain in the bottom I would think .

I think DVDshrink may have been the problem.
Any other freeware out there that does this?

....actually, what I mean to ask is there any OTHER software to replace what DVD shrink does?
