Hi all
I am a real newbie at this so please forgive if I'm not understanding all the terms. I have searched the forum and not exactly sure what I need.
I am ripping clips from dvds and putting them back together to music. I am using Dvd decrypter and dvd shrink to rip and magix movie edit pro. I am having problems with the quality of the video being poor such as horizontal lines and "blocks". I am having problems with the sound also it is missing. when I rip the clip if there is no sound I can not use it in Magix.
I tried to circumvent this by burning the clips to a dvd and then ripping them again but the sound is static or it will not load the clip at all in Magix. no matter how many times I redo it, it always seems to be the same chapter that has problems. Is this a mpeg problem? this is a tv series and I have tried on all of the dvd and I still have the same problem. BTW when using DVD decrypter and DVD shrink, which should I use first to rip the clip? I have tried both ways.
Thanks
Christy
I hope I have explained it so you all could understand and have given the right information

You need to first convert your DVD to MPEG. Then author from there. MOvie edit pro does not support audio when your files are in a VOB format. If you want only the video portion of the DVD, De-multiplex the audio and video streams of the MPEG. Import only the video and add your own music.
