Stainless steel panels & skins. That's what needs to come back. If your car looks dirty, hose it off and you're good to go. waxing not required. light scratches from standard driving and normal usage, just blend in with the brushed look. Gull wing is better, but I think a sliding door similarly to the way some vans have would be cool for a car. like a cockpit slider for fighter jets. Don't have to worry about opening your door into another car.

Don't forget he was also the designer for the Pontiac GTO, the car that started the muscle car era. I myself would love to have a 1970 GTO The Judge with Ram Air. Holy shit, what a car!

I actually watched Back to the Future this past weekend. Its pretty damn funny. One thing I never noticed, until I read this thread, the car in the movie has some killer sound (ie. exhaust .. very rumbly). Never seen a Delorean in real life. Did they sound as ballsy or was it a pipped in sound?
Just curious....

PS. Off topic but I also decided to watch The Karate Kid. Man, that Pat Morita dude is pretty funny. -
You can get that sound from a Pinto if you remove the catalytic converter. It would be considered SFX and piped in later regardless. The one's I've seen around town aren't that loud. Sounds more like a mid-80's Volvo sedan engine. Not too impressive sounding,

You see a single quart of the Shell Helix 10W-60 synthetic oil that the Enzo requires sells for $60US/quart and the Enzo requires 12.2 quarts of it each time you take it in (presumably every 5000 miles). 12.2 times $60 is $732. That doesn't include the oil filter or any of other service checks that the dealer will perform. A full service for that car is around $1300US for the oil change..
A complete brake job will be $100,000 (that is correct)

The brakes for the Ferrari Enzo were developed by Brembo and are made of carbo-ceramic material (CCM). Ferrari has been using brakes made of similar materials in their Formula One efforts but this is the first time it has seen service in a road car. The advantage behind the exotic materials is weight reduction; unsprung weight was reduced by a whopping 12.5 kg. (27.5 lbs.). There is a price for the advantages however. A set of brake pads is said to cost $6,000 per wheel and for the rotors the bill is $24,000 per wheel..
front rotors should be changed each time pads are changed is recommended

Kids... save your pennies.
I always dug Ferraris ever since the days of Magnum P.I. Always loved that 305 gts (I think that's what it was). -
when you got a car like that, why use your brakes?
you should be cruising slow enough, showing your machine to the ladies, that you can stick out your foot to stop the car
I love the Enzo and I've actually started building my own and this is the first part I'm starting with HERE
p.s. it was the 308GTS http://www.ferrariclub.com/faq/magnum.html -

Wife's gotta shop at Wal-Mart. Can't afford to go anywhere else.
I have a Ferrari Enzo. It's in a case on my desk at work. Got it as a work gift along with an Enzo door key blank and a certificate from the motor company. It was because I was the top sales leader for the company and I was their main power for moving ahead of competition. You'd think by now they'd pay me enough to buy one of those myself. In actuality I still drive a 2001 Mercury Sable where I haven't had time to work on it and get the A/C system working again. And it's almost into the HOT season.
