    Hi! I'm posting this after having searched for quite some time on this forum not having found a solution for my problem. So here it is: there’s no way I can capture using HuffYUV, but this comes out really strange. When I install version 2.1.1, it does not appear on my available codecs for compression on VirtualDub capture thus I can use it to compress files afterwards and works perfectly. When I install version 2.2.0, it appears on the available codecs for capture on VirtualDub and it does, BUT the resulting avi can not be used anywhere: even VirtualDub crashes immediately when I open the avi and it gives this error message

    An out-of-bounds memory access (access violation) occurred in module 'huffyuv' while decompressing video frame 0 with "Huffyuv v.2.2.0" [biCompression=55594648] (VideoSource.cpp:1772).

    I actually found two topics that can rely to my two problems:

    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=249871&highlight=huffyuv+virtualdub

    and

    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=258247&highlight=huffyuv+virtualdub

    Note that none of them solves the problem, that surprises me as in the most parts of topics problems are usually solved! In the first one noone has understood what the guy was asking, in the second the advice to employ Codec Sniper simply doesn’t get to the point.
    Is anybody able to put an end to these problems??
    Thanks to anyone who’ll try to help

    If memory serves me correctly..

    In one of the revised versions, it had a BUG in it (UV or something) and
    it would not work properly when frameserved, etc.

    The simple answer to your question is this. Delete that file you captured,
    (since you say you can't view it) and start over, by re-capturing it again.

    * But, first uninstall the current huffy codec you have now. Device Mananger.
    You should see a (remove only) next to the huffy codec line.

    * After removing, REBOOT.

    * Now, install a non-bugged version of huffy. perhaps the one you used
    previously, that worked for you.
