Looks like NEC is also going to the "Super-Multi" drives. This makes the 4th company I have seen supporting DVD-RAM and the first with the new 16X. It might actually catch on now that media prices are dropping.

Nec and RAM, yea, hopefully the 3500 will last till then. Hopefully it will be a better reader than the 3500.
