i've got a folder with dvd9 files (vobs/bups/ifos), i want to extract those vobs to a huge mpeg2 file. it only has one audio track (ac3), no subtitles.. very basic dvd.

i just want to extract it to one gigantic mpeg 2 file with ac3 audio.

i tried using tmpgenc mpeg editor, but it keeps splitting it up by each chapter.. so then i tried deleting all the chapters with ifo edit.. no luck..

i dont want an m2v & an ac3 file, i want one ready muxed mpeg file.

i'm sure this is probably easy to do, i've search and couldnt find anything. i'm sure the solution is so simple i'll want to smack myself one.

nope.. tried all of those yesterday.. there is a method to doing it that i've devised.. i just figured there might be an easier way..

rip to files w/ dvd decrypter, use tmpgenc mpeg editor and output to mpeg files (one per chapter), author to dvd files in tmpgenc dvd author (no chapters), use tmpgenc mpeg editor to output to one big mpeg file..

i was just hoping there was a way to output the dvd files to one bigass mpeg without going through all those steps.

You can use Dvddecrypter to rip to one large .vob file, this should save some work. You could rename this large .vob to file.mpg, but it wouldn't be a true .mpg file though most SW players would be happy with it. If you want a true MPG file, use Womble like you have, just put the one large file on the timeline and save.

  6. ... or if you have Nero Vision Express.

Load the VOB file in NVE. After some procesing NVE will be ready to export the file to whatever format you choose. Dont export. Goto MyDocuments > NeroVision > Imported Video. There you will have your MPEG file with same settings as bitrate, aspect ratio, audio etc. Only it will be in MPEG not VOB.
