I tried using Procoder 2.0 and I am pretty happy with the simplicity and resluts of the software. The only issue that I am having is that of project size. Using the bitrate calculator here I put in my values. The project in question is 1:51 min. I get 5265 as an average bitrate. Now when I put these values into Procoder the final mpg is too big. It comes out to just 4.1 gigs or something around there.
I was wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that I am encoding using MPEG-2? I usually encode with MPEG-1 but thought I would try something different?
Below are the settings that I am using. A correction that should be noted though is the fact that the Max bitrate of the final project is 8000 not 6000.
Thanks

What's killing you is your audio. You are telling Procoder to output uncompressed audio (LPCM). The bitrate calculation used above assumes audio at 224kbit/s (2 channel AC3 or Mpeg1-layer2), whereas LPCM is around 1500kbit/s. Change the audio output type to mp2 and try again.

Thank you so much.... I am a little new with procoder so I don't know all the ins and outs. I'll give that a try.
Cheers

One other thing..... What sould the value for Min bitrate be? I guess I'm looking for just enough to keep the dark moments clean.
Thanks
