Wouldn't it be nice with a chip set property in the DVD player section? I personaly don't care much for brand, but I'm sure interested in what chip set is in the player I'm contemplating.
The thing agains this, is that chip set is rarely specified anywhere...

chipset would be nice...but as you say it isn't specified for most players
-
but if someone is willing to help me add chipset information to players...
-
And the major prob with the DVD player list, is that's it's pretty regional - and I'm also sure there are many examples of identical innards "packaged" and labled differently in different countries/regions. A cross-reference would be cool too, like "Centrum Libra=Vestel Hollywood II" - again, it's hard work, and would probably require some "inside" knowledge.

we could begin add the chipset to divx players....are you or anyone interested in helping? you will be able to update the players easily using your browser.

I have added some divx chipsets, you can search by chipset or chipset manufacturer like ess vibratto chipsets:

if you find any bugs or errors please post here.
