  1. I understand that Mainconcept Encoder allow you to split the AVI while encoding into few smaller that can fit into a CDR.

    Can TMPGENc Plus do that? How?

    If you're encoding to MPEG, sure ...

    just use the source range function when encoding, or use MPEG TOOLS > Cut and Merge.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  3. I dont think TMpgenc can do it like Mainconcept does, you can try what jim said you will have to cut the file then encode it.

    I actually meant that you can use the source range function without cutting before encoding, or after encoding you can use the Cut & Merge function
    If in doubt, Google it.

  5. Mainconcept can do it on the fly I thinnk this is what he wanted to know.But yes it would be better to cut the video after encoding.

  6. hi jim, i saw there is a mpeg tools, but no cut and merge button.
    it contains option like simple mutiplex, siple de-multiplex, multiplex, de-multiplex, merge & cut.

    is it under "merge & cut"?



    how to cut the mpeg file?

    Yeah ... add your file, then double-click on it and change the range to the part you need. Change the Type to what you encoded your file to and then set an output file. Click Run when you've set everything to how it needs to be.
