i now makebackups with dvd shrink is there a better program out there and how do i use it thanx

DVDShrink and DVDDecrypter are the two best, if you ask most people here who are in-the-know

It's very very subjective if you're going to a 4.7GB disc as to whether DVDShrink, DVD2One, Nero Recode, CloneDVD, Intervideo DVD Copy or any other transcoder is the best transcoder. Some say DVD-Rebuilder (w/ either CCE or Quenc) is the best (re-encodes), others prefer to go back to first principles and re-encode absolutely everything using dedicated encoders and such also.

But in the scope of your question, I think that if you're happy with DVDShrink, stick with it. If you're not happy then try one of the tools I've mentioned for yourself and see what you think.
