I try to demux a VOB using VOBedit and nothing happens. I rename the VOB with .VOB extension like the instructions say in the guide and check demux audio/video and nothing.

How did you get this VOB. Describe "nothing happens". What do you mean rename VOB to .VOB ? Use AViCodec to see the contents of VOB.

Instead, try using Rejig or "Simple Demux" option in TMPGEnc.

I imported a VOB file w/ and w/o the added .VOB ext like this guide says:

    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=251085

Then I hit the Demux button (demux audio/video), then OK and nothing runs.
    TMPGEnc doesn't accept VOB files.

Did you rename the file to VTS_01_1.VOB like the guide says ?
    If in doubt, Google it.
