  1. I am trying to burn movies onto a dvd to use on a standalone dvd player. Every movie I've burned a movie it plays fine on my computer but when I try it on my standalone dvd player the audio slowy becomes more and more out of sync with the video feed. When I stop the movie and replay it again the audio resets but goes out of sync eventually again. Lowering the burn speed helps but doesn't get rid of it.

    I'm using:
    Windows 2000
WINAVI converter (convert to PAL because it seems to work better on my dvd player)
    Standalone DVD player: Emerson 7002
Disk info: TDK Blank DVD+R 8.0x

Uhh... you're converting an NTSC disc to PAL, yeah? Depending on the method you use, yeah your audio will go out of sync - PAL operates at a different number of samples per second than NTSC.

Xactly my thought. Improperly done framerate conversion. As most PAL stuff play NTSC fine, it's rarely necessary to do this conversion.
    What's your source material?

Yeah, normally PAL systems play NTSC without a problem, it's the opposite that isn't always true. But if you DO for some reason NEED to convert to PAL, you have to fix the audio and then do a framerate pulldown conversion.

    There are guides... over
