  1. Back in August 2004, Newegg advertise a SOYO Dragon board for ~$75US with a $75US rebate. At the time shipping was free. So what the heck I bought one.

The only catch was the longer than usual wait for the rebate (5-6 months).

I don't let rebates sit. I usually have them in the mail within 1-2 days from date of purchase. This purchase was no exception.

Now 6+ months later, no check in the mail. My first thought was I'm screwed after reading some of the horror stories others have experienced with rebates.

But I found Newegg to be different. Instead of passing the buck, they became more proactive and established a mechanism between themselves and SOYO to assist customers with problems. I like it.

Maybe it has something to do with the recent COMPusa ruling but I really don't care. I just want SOYO to live up to their end of the sale.

    Newegg's response:

Thank you for informing us of the unfortunate delay regarding your Soyo rebates.

We have forwarded your information to SOYO directly and are working diligently to ensure that you receive the entire rebate amount.

If you do not receive contact from SOYO within the next 3 business days, please send us an email at, soyocomplaints@newegg.com.

Although we may not be responsible for this rebate issue, please know that Newegg will always stand behind our valued customer and will do everything in our power to ensure your complete satisfaction.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding during this unfavorable time.

    Sincerely,

if you dont recieve your rebate let them know they are responsible. they advertised that price under certain conditions, you met the conditions.. they should make sure that their rebate companies are doing everything correctly.. its like running a burger shop.. 50 people get poisoned because the meat is bad.. the store doesnt get to pass it off to meat supplier, although they will.. and the meat supplier will pass it off to the processing company, and the processing company will pass it off to the factories who poisoned the cows water supply.. etc etc.. everyone will pass the buck.. the fact is newegg advertised the price & they should live up to it, you did your part, they didnt do theirs.
