  1. When a SVCD is created from a MPEG by whatever means, can the SVCD be reverted back to a MPEG?

  2. Thanks for the info. I tried the program but it looks like the extracted MPEG suffers in video and audio quality. Is that expected, or is it because of a "registration issue" for the program?

    Isobuster extracts the mpeg as-is, it does not change the quality of either the video or audio.

  4. I wonder if there is a program that can "repair" some of the errors within the MPEG file. I tried re-coding the MPEG file with TMPGEnc, but the resulting MPEG file only plays the first frame for the entire video length.

    VCDGear (freeware) is able to repair MPEG errors when it extracts MPEG video. I have never tried it with SVCD, so I can't promise it will work, but you could see if it will work with MPEG-2 video.
