  2. I think that this is basically the same program except that with TMPGEnc Plus, it is paid for and can encode DVD and SVCD files after the 30 day trial period is over. Or would you be talking about TMPGEnc Xpress?

What type of files are you making?

  3. It would be helpfull if you stated which tmpgenc vs which

    IE TMPGenc Plus = Encoder

TMPGenc DVD Source Creator = Encoder

    TMPGenc 3.0 Xpress = Encoder

TMPGenc DVD Author = DVD Authoring

TMPGenc MPEG Editor = more of editor Based on the MPEG Tool in TMPGenc Plus, not better or worse just different.

    Cheers

TMPGEnc, the encoder, is free and does MPEG1 with MPEG2 only being available in the 30-day trial period.

TMPGEnc Plus, the encoder, is the paid for version of TMPGEnc and unlocks the ability to permanently do MPEG2 encoding = SVCDs and DVDs.
