  1. Hi all
    I am interesting that while the one who watch the family trip
    will be able, by one touch in the remote control to see a subpicture
    of a map, where the trip is taking place.
    Is there any way to do it besides an extra angle?
    thanks

    Why via email - is it some deep dark secret ? The point of these forums is to share. If your solution works, it could be of benefit to others.

  6. yes you can do it.

    Just draw the maps in photoshop, using a simple 4 colour palette. (white, blue, red and black). Save each as a sequentially numered bitmap.

    Now the next stage, is a little tricky. YOu have to make a scenarist script. something like this in your text editor.

    Code:
    st_format	2
    Display_Start	non_forced
    TV_Type		PAL
    Tape_Type	NON_DROP
    Pixel_Area	(0 574)
    Display_Area	(0 2 719 574)
    Color		(0 1 2 3)
    Contrast	(0 15 15 15)
    E2		(255 0 0 ===)
    E1		(0 0 0 ===)
    PA		(0 0 255 ===)
    BG		(255 255 255 ===)
    Directory	E:\temp

    #
    # Palette entries:
    #
    # 01 : RGB(255,255,255)
    # 02 : RGB(  0,  0,  0)
    # 03 : RGB(255,  0,  0)
    # 04 : RGB(  0,  0,255)
    #

    #########################################################
    SP_NUMBER	START		END		FILE_NAME
    1		00:00:10:07	00:00:23:06	ge.1.bmp
    2		00:00:25:07	00:00:39:06	ge.2.bmp
    3		00:00:40:07	00:00:53:06	ge.3.bmp
    4		00:01:10:07	00:01:24:06	ge.4.bmp
    5		00:01:25:07	00:01:40:06	ge.5.bmp
    6		00:01:42:07	00:01:52:06	ge.6.bmp
    7		00:01:53:07	00:02:06:06	ge.7.bmp
    8		00:02:07:07	00:02:21:06	ge.8.bmp
    9		00:02:22:07	00:02:35:06	ge.9.bmp
    10		00:02:36:07	00:02:45:06	ge.10.bmp
    11		00:02:46:07	00:02:55:06	ge.11.bmp
    now save it with a *.sst file extension.

    E2, E1, P and Bg refer to the 4 colours you used in your bitmaps, and the directory is the directory where you saved your bitmaps. If you are in NTSC format, then you will have to adjust the pal frame sizes to the ntsc values.

    Now, in your scenario, import your subtitle script, it should import the subtitles with the correct timecode. Its up to you how you do your coding to get it to display, and what colours your want mapped to each subtitle mask colour. Of course, you can change each different maps colours too.

    Hope this gets you started anyway.
