  1. I have looked through the forum but haven't been able to find any answers for this particular problem. I'm also fairly new to VCD's so forgive me if I don't include all necessary info or if the answer is insanely simple.

I have the Hitachi P415 and have been burning and playing discs without problems for about a month until I got to these specific files. I have 4 files that are all doing the same thing. They play fine on the computer but once burned there is an audio problem(Possably video as well), it's not the audio sync it's a jumping/hesitation of the sound every half second or so it renders the episodes unwatchable.

I have tried several differen't things on one of the files and always end up with the same result. I've burned with Nero 5.5.1, VCDEasy and Fireburner and I've also run it through TMPGEnc. Nothing has worked. I have to assume it's the encode and not the player since it's only these files but I'm at a loss at what to try next. There are many instructions on how to correct audio sync but I don't think this is what it is. Has anyone ever encountered something like this?

Are there settings I could try, a differen't encoder to run it through?

    Thanks!

  2. OK I have learned that these files are considered 'Non-Standard' VCD files. I also found some technical info that may help someone figure out what I need to do.

It was suggested that you needed to run the file through TMPGEnc before burning to VCD but I had already done that without it making a difference.

    Here's the technical info:

    ---------------

    Output Format : MPEG1 System
    Duration : 41:56
    Total Data Rate : 1824 kbits/sec
    File Size : 554MB
    --- Video Settings ---
    Data Rate : 1600 kbits/sec
    Image Size : 352 pixel X 240 pixel
    Frame Rate : 29.97 frame/sec
    --- Audio Settings ---
    Data Rate : 224 kbits/sec
    Sampling Frequency : 44100 Hz
    Channel : Stereo

    Any idea's for me?

    Thanks!

    Toma
