  1. I'm contemplating to purchase the Pioneer DVR-510H (my first DVD recorder). One of the features I was looking for is Audio CD recording from some old LPs. I was almost going to buy the LiteOn 5001, but then found out that I would had to get the 5005 to be able to record audio CDs, and the 5005 wasn't available in my area.
Can anyone advise me if the 510 has that audio CD recording option?
    Thanks, tac7

I've used my DVR-510H to record the sound from my vinyl LPs. Here is a thread on this topic:

However, the Pioneer will not record audio CDs. You'll read the steps I used to transfer the tracks from a DVD-RW disc to my Mac for burning to audio CDs.

I have the 5005, the audio recording option is cool, only records for 70 min on a 700mb disc, and the volume is a notch lower, but definately cool if you decide to maybe order it online or something.

  4. Thanks for the replies. Looks like the Pioneer isn't a contender any longer and I'll have to look around for a LiteOn 5005, - unless someone
knows of another brand that is capable of recording audio CDs? tac7
