hi.
I used nero vision express to author and burn a serie of 7 episodes in a DVD. i already burned a couple of discs and the audio, video and menu are fine. The only things not working well is that when i put in a playback dvd player, it can't load directly to main title. it plays randomly once i inserted the disc into the dvd player. sometime, it plays episode 3, sometimes, it plays episode 7. please help. how can we fix this?

Sounds like an issue with your DVD player.
Can't think of any settings within NVE which would cause that behavior, tho there is an option to return to Menu after playing a title. Wonder if changing that option would alter the disc's behavior in your particular machine. I'm not at my home machine right now to verify, (I'm "homing from work"at the moment), but there might also be an option to play the menu first tho I'm not sure of that. I think these settings are under the "MORE" button at the bottom of your screen.
Assume from your post that all your burned DVDs behave the same? You also say the menu is "fine" but that inserted discs just start playing random titles. Can you access the menu, and play the desired titles from there?
Does it playback correctly in your computer's DVD drive?
Tried the same discs in other stand-alone DVD players?
My old Toshiba DVD/VCR combo unit would routinely balk at playing burned DVD-R (about 1 out of 10 would work). Didn't get any of the random playback behavior you describe, just "disc error" message or it would pixelize and eventually freeze. Tried using different media, but only wound up burning many different brands and colors of coasters. Switched from Pinnacle Studio (a most unstable POS) to Nero, with essentially the same results. All the while, my cheapo Apex portable DVD player would play *most* of these same discs. Bought a JVC combo unit to replace the Toshiba, and it happily plays any burned DVD-R I put in it. -

Sounds like your discs are OK, but your DVD player doesn't like recordable media, or at least, the ones you are using. Try playing a few of your discs in a couple of different DVD players (bring your friends some beer to compensate for letting you try out their machines) to see how they play in a few other DVD players.
You can try a different brand of discs to see if it makes a difference on your own machine (though this could go either way, could make it better, could make no difference, or could make it go from what you have now to worse).
Only other thing I can think of is to try burning at a slower speed if you can. My burner only goes 2X so I can only burn at that speed, but from what I've read here and elsewhere, even if your burner has faster burning capabilities (e.g. 4X, 8X, etc.) selecting a slower speed can result in a "deeper" (is that terminology correct?) or more accurate burn.
